So, you’re planning some caravanning adventures and don’t want to leave your beloved pet behind… Understandable. The great news is that these days there are a lot of pet friendly caravan parks that will welcome your four-legged friend with open arms (and a doggy bag).

Before you head off with your furry, fluffy, or feathered friend you might want to have a read of Caravanning With Your Pets so you are well prepared (and don’t end up in the dog-house).

Now that you have all the essentials sorted, it’s time to decide where you’re going to go. There are a lot of great resources and websites such as Caravanning With Pets and Caravanning Queensland that give you a list of pet friendly places.

Here are some pet friendly caravan parks to get you started and on your way to a paw-fect holiday:

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Port Hughes, Port Hughes, SA

They have a fun off-leash dog run so your pooch can stretch its legs, run around and make some friends.

Only a short barefoot walk to one of the prettiest beaches on the Yorke Peninsula – one of the many reasons why BIG4 Port Hughes Tourist Park has been a family favourite for generations with just the right combination of relaxation, activities for all ages, along with a lovely community feel.

BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park, Helensvale – QLD

There are lots to see and do at BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park. Modern facilities and fun activities like a mammoth water park and pool. There’s a giant Jumping Pillow and a range of outdoor activities such as Foot Pool, Frisbee Golf, table tennis and an off-road remote-control car track.

They also welcome dogs and cater to your furry friend with an off-leash area at the rear of the park where they can run to their heart’s content, and even a puppy pamper palace to give them a good wash at the end of the day. Cute!!!

NRMA Port Macquarie Breakwall Holiday Park – NSW

Bring your four-legged friend along with you on your next getaway to the Port Macquarie holiday park.

Famous for its outstanding waterfront views, beautifully landscaped gardens, and world-class customer service, NRMA Port Macquarie Breakwall Holiday Park offers a slice of paradise situated on the banks of the Hastings River, right by the beach and the city centre.

Reflections Holiday Parks Pambula – NSW

Dogs are permitted at Reflections Holiday Parks Pambula all year round.

Dogs on leads are allowed in all areas of the park except inside amenities and the camp kitchen. Dog waste stations are available on-site and in the adjoining reserve.
