Are your vans designed to go off road?

Yes, our vans are built and warranted as true off-road caravans. Just like ‘semi-pregnant’ or ‘semi-bulletproof’, ‘semi off-road’ doesn’t actually exist. It is a term coined by salesmen years ago to get an extra $5-10K by marketing their product as semi off-road – don’t fall for it.

No, you don’t have to visit our showroom to purchase or have warranty work done on your RV. We have a sales and warranty system that allows us to service our customers wherever they are in Australia.

What’s the difference between build styles (i.e. Timber vs. Alloy vs. Composite builds)?

Timber is the more price-conscious option, and more than 80% of the industry uses some form of Timber frame (skeleton inside the walls). Alloy is generally slightly lighter than timber if built exactly the same. A composite sandwich panel is the future in caravanning as It offers far superior insulation and strength properties.

How far will this van go?

Our off-road vans will take you all over Australia and back home again safely. We have designed, built and warranted them to go further than most tow vehicles.

What vehicle do I need to tow this van?

Every car and van combination is different. First, we must work up a “wish list” for your desired van. Then we will be able to offer advice on the vehicle best suited to your preferred adventures. Our team are always happy to assist you with this at our Warana Dealership or over the phone.

What’s your warranty on true “off-road” scenarios?

Correct tyre pressures are vital for getting the best performance from your caravan. If you are travelling on a rough unmade surface or bad corrugations, you must reduce your speed and lower your tyre pressures. The lower tyre pressure will give the tyres more flex to absorb the road shocks and will give you more grip. This will allow your Caravan and everything in it to enjoy a much easier ride. We have done extensive research into the use of our Caravan off-road and will know if you haven’t followed our recommendations. Be aware, however, that tyre pressures will depend on the size and type of tyre and the load you are carrying. You must also remember to reinflate the tyres when you get back to highway driving conditions.

*Please note the above information is dependent on your conditions, and we always recommend you drive to the conditions.

Can I run the aircon off my battery system?

The question isn’t “Can I run my aircon?” because you certainly can; it’s more “How long can I run my aircon?”off the battery system. We recommend installing the below as a bare minimum to run your aircon efficiently:500W + solar, 400Amp + lithium batteries and 2600W inverter.

Will my dual cab ute be legal?

To accurately answer this question, we first need to know your wish list for your van build and the travelling weight of the car. With these two figures, we will be able to complete GVM/GCM and ball load calculations to give you an answer for your exact setup.
